CZECHTRADE AND CZECHINVEST MERGER NOW
IN PROGRESS

A contested amalgamation of eight foreign-based offices of
government agencies CzechTrade and CzechInvest that began
in January is progressing smoothly, according to CzechTrade
CEO Ivan Jukl. It could be just the first step in a wider program of
restructuring and cost cutting, as the Ministry of Industry and
Trade (MPO) has announced proposals to completely merge
the two agencies.
